Preserving History Through Conservation

Once only accessible to family, Bendabout Farm is a hunting retreat with exceptional accommodations. Settled in the 1830’s, by the family of Summerfield Johnston, a well-known businessman and steward of the land, the farm reflects the true beauty and tranquility of Southeast Tennessee. With a deep love of nature and passion for its conservation, succeeding generations have stayed true to these values to preserve this special place. For more than 30 years, the farm has continued to thrive under an exstensive habitat program with over 2500 acres of quail habitat.  The farm has been under the professional management of Matt Bentley since 1994, who is trained in habitat and wildlife management.  When intense management practices work in conjunction with habitat management an absolute paradise for wildlife, and those who love it, is created. We invite you to take a step back in time and enjoy nature as it was meant to be.
